January BOGO Sale! SOLD OUT!

Our BOGO sale is sold out but you can still sign up for classes at the regular price.

Our Mission

Our mission is to preserve and celebrate American Swing-era music through dance and to expose the greater community to the joys of swing through education, dance events, performances, and outreach. We aim to create and promote opportunities for spectators, listeners, dancers, and musicians to interact with this African-American art form in their day-to-day lives.

Level 1 Lindy Hop: 8-WEEKS

Thursdays 7pm-8pm

Dates: Jan 8, 15, 22, 29, Feb 5, 12, 19, 26

Instructors: Myra & Anthony

BOGO is sold out! But you can still sign up as an individual. Level 1 Lindy Hop starts from the very beginning, focusing on partner connection and 6-count 8-count patterns that are essential for any Lindy Hopper. This is a longer 8-week course because there are some basics in here that can be fairly challenging. If you have to miss a week or two, let us know and come early the next week so we can catch you up. Lets get you out on the dance floor! No experience or partner required.

Level 2 Lindy Hop: The Swingout

Thursdays 7pm-8pm

Dates: 8, 15, 22, 29

Instructors: Keara & Blake

This is the Lindy Hop basic, and yet one of the most complicated moves to master. We could spend a year (or more) working on this, but we're going to condense it down to the most important parts for this month. We'll work on technique of the swingout, stylizations, and moves based on the swingout. No partner required. You must have either taken both Level 1 Lindy Hop and Charleston series classes to register for this class, or have experience dancing Lindy Hop and have some familiarity with the swing out already.

Level 3 Lindy Hop: Contests + Vintage clip inspiration

Wednesday 7pm-8:30pm (practice 8:30pm-9pm)

Dates: 7, 14, 21, 28

Instructors: Blake & Irina / TBA

For this 4 week series, we’re continuing our extended 90 minute class time with 30 minutes of practice afterwords! This month will be split into two focuses:
  • Weeks 1 & 2: Lindy Hop contest prep-- what to expect, ideas/ moves to play with, continuing to build on fundamentals, and tools to help with stress and anxiety that come with competing. All of this will lead into our first local Salt City Swing strictly competition on 1/15/26! Note: if you don’t care to compete this will still be a great class to learn new things and get continued support with your dance journey.
  • Weeks 3 & 4: taking inspiration from vintage clips of those dancers that created, developed, and made this dance incredible. Different dancers have different ways of moving and you’ll find an immense amount of inspiration for not only your own dancing, but your interest and passion for Lindy Hop and Jazz. Lindy Hop and Jazz are Black American dances. We’ll speak to this more in class, but a good starting point for resources can be found here.

Quick FAQ

Classes begin the first Wednesday or Thursday of each month unless otherwise specified.

Sign-ups for next month’s classes open in the middle of the current month.

Nope! You don’t need to bring a partner—in fact, most of our students come solo.

During class, we highly encourage rotating partners because it helps you learn faster and adapt to different leads or follows.

If you do come with a partner and prefer to stay together the whole class, that’s totally fine—you’re welcome to opt out of rotation.

All Lindy Hop, Charleston, and Balboa lesson packages include 4 (or 8) classes, once a week, that build on material from the previous class.

Drop-ins are typically not allowed since each week builds on the last.

If you pay the full class rate, it includes a free dance pass for the month(except nights with live music).

We can catch you up! Just show up 15-20 minutes early before the next class and let us know!

Unused class credits do not count towards future months.
