Our mission is to preserve and celebrate American Swing-era music through dance and to expose the greater community to the joys of swing through education, dance events, performances, and outreach. We aim to create and promote opportunities for spectators, listeners, dancers, and musicians to interact with this African-American art form in their day-to-day lives.

Level 1 Lindy Hop starts from the very beginning, focusing on partner connection and 6-count 8-count patterns that are essential for any Lindy Hopper. This is a longer 8-week course because there are some basics in here that can be fairly challenging. If you have to miss a week or two, let us know and come early the next week so we can catch you up. Lets get you out on the dance floor! No experience or partner required.
Thursdays 7pm-8pm
Dates: 9, 16, 23, 30
Instructors: Keara & Karson
This is the Lindy Hop basic, and yet one of the most complicated moves to master. We could spend a year (or more) working on this, but we're going to condense it down to the most important parts for this month. We'll work on technique of the swingout, stylizations, and moves based on the swingout. No partner required. You must have either taken both Level 1 Lindy Hop and Charleston series classes to register for this class, or have experience dancing Lindy Hop and have some familiarity with the swing out already.
Wednesdays 7pm-8pm (practice 9-9:30pm)
Dates: 8, 15, 22, 29
Instructors: Blake & TBA
Join us for a new series of Wednesday classes that will take your Lindy Hop to the next level and increase your appreciation and understanding of the dance! We will be diving into topics such as the history and context of the dance, call and response with our partners, music guiding your dancing, confidence in improvisation, upping our fundamentals while giving them more sauce, and much more. Drop ins are allowed every week at a rate of $18/class as we will not be building on material from previous weeks.
Wednesdays 8pm-9pm (practice 9-9:30pm)
Dates: 8, 15, 22, 29
Instructors: Blake
Solo Jazz is one of the foundations of Lindy Hop, as well as a wonderful dance in itself. With a focus on finding individuality, honoring historical context, and being driven by the music, this class will help you gain confidence through building vocabulary, body awareness, and good quality of movement. After the class, there will be an additional 30 minutes of open time with DJ’d music to ask questions, receive feedback, put new concepts and material into practice, and work through ideas with other dancers. This is an opportunity to not only elevate your own dancing and understanding of Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz, but to also uplift our dance community as a whole. Drop ins are allowed every week at a rate of $18/class as we will not be building on material from previous weeks.
Classes begin the first Wednesday or Thursday of each month unless otherwise specified.
Sign-ups for next month’s classes open in the middle of the current month.
Nope! You don’t need to bring a partner—in fact, most of our students come solo.
During class, we highly encourage rotating partners because it helps you learn faster and adapt to different leads or follows.
If you do come with a partner and prefer to stay together the whole class, that’s totally fine—you’re welcome to opt out of rotation.
All Lindy Hop, Charleston, and Balboa lesson packages include 4 (or 8) classes, once a week, that build on material from the previous class.
Drop-ins are typically not allowed since each week builds on the last.
If you pay the full class rate, it includes a free dance pass for the month(except nights with live music).
We can catch you up! Just show up 15-20 minutes early before the next class and let us know!
Unused class credits do not count towards future months.
